Progressive Turnout Project seeks National Onboarding Manager

Salary:  $72,800 - $93,600

Start Date: 06/06/2022

End Date: 11/30/2022

Position Summary:

Progressive Turnout Project (PTP) seeks applicants for the National Onboarding Manager  role to operationalize and streamline the onboarding process for the Relational and Distributed Organizing Programs across multiple key Senate battleground states, likely including Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

The National Onboarding Manager will be responsible for implementing and overseeing the process for onboarding and offboarding contractors in multiple states. This includes collaborating with the Relational Organizing Director, Distributed Organizing Director, Talent Manager, National Interviewing Manager, National Recruitment Manager, and other national leads to put systems in place to track, onboard, and offboard  contractor candidates within an intense, quickly-moving program. This program will ultimately scale up to an expected total of 12,000 hired contractors at most. We will need to interview approximately twice as many contractors as we expect to hire, so this position’s interviewing, vetting, form collection, and inviting to onboarding sessions will need to account for up to 28,000 candidates moving through these hiring pipelines.

This role will oversee State Onboarding Coordinators who will be responsible for coordinating daily onboarding operations on-the-ground for both the Relational and Distributed Organizing programs, including interviews, form collection, and troubleshooting issues such as direct deposit issues. As such, this role must be incredibly organized, detail-oriented, and take initiative to make sure expectations and outputs are aligned.  This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and the duties of this role are subject to modification in response to program or organizational needs.

This position is eligible for benefits, including employer-sponsored health, dental, and vision insurance, FSA, 401(k), student loan repayment assistance, paid time off, and paid holidays.

There are no formal education requirements for this position. People of all backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

  • Maintain strong relationships with the Relational Organizing Program Manager, the Distributed Organizing Field Manager, the Deputy Data Director of Engineering, and National Recruitment Manager in order to refine and monitor systems that measure and track the entire onboarding and offboarding process with benchmarks and goals
  • Conduct Community Mobilizer and Field Representative interviews as needed
  • Provide regular reports regarding onboarding progress to goal and recommendations for real time changes to improve outcome, including onboarding completed vs expected to complete, and updates to pain points in the hiring pipelines, as well as holding state-based staff accountable to onboarding goals
